I think that both this version and the original feel lonely in their own way. That feeling of being in a town you don’t know, with another one over the horizon … In the original you could be in a really good John Wayne movie, where the hero is honorable, trustworthy and stalwart. In this version I tried to make it feel like Kirk Douglas in Lonely Are the Brave, where the hero is not completely in control of himself, and unsettled in his loneliness.
